Making an Impact in People's Lives

Jesus used the parable about the good Samaritan to demonstrate that our neighbor is anyone in need. This is the story of a good Samaritan who transported a beaten-up man to an inn and left money for the man’s care until his return.

The homeless in our community have been beaten up by life’s trials, stresses, and bad choices and find themselves in great need. We want to be God’s vessel of meeting their needs.

We Have Land!

Through generous donations, two acres of land were purchased. The land is on Triangle Drive in Ponderay, across from the school district offices.

We met our goals for project manager, architect, and grant writer! Our Next Step is to Raise $325,000 for the Helping Hands Healing Hearts Center in order to save on the monthly rent we now pay.

Why a Good Samaritan Inn

God says, “Is this not the kind of fasting I have chosen…to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer shelter. Isaiah 58:6-7

Jesus said, “I was hungry and you gave me something to eat…I was a stranger
and you took me in. Matthew 25:35

Whoever is kind to the needy honors God.
Proverb 14:31

THE INVOLVEMENT OF

HELPING HANDS HEALING HEARTS

Because Helping Hands Healing Hearts has experienced this need first-hand, we are the ones getting together plans, raising funds, and implementing those plans to enable The Good Samaritan Inn to become a reality. We are using our brochures and website for information and fund-raising purposes. Although in the future Helping Hands Healing Hearts and The Good Samaritan Inn will work together to help the homeless in transition, The Good Samaritan Inn will become its own 501(c)(3).
